Sep 4, 2019 · Actually, those codes (p2121 & p2271) don't exist. They must be B2121 and B2271, both of which are BCM codes. B2121 is "starter output open and B2271 is "BCM voltage low". You either have a bad BCM or a wiring problem between the BCM and the starter. Since you checked voltage at pin L2 on the BCM to be low, that seems to be the place to start. Looked up the stored fault code: B2161 which turns out to be 'brake lamp output open'. Checked operation of brake lamp and sure enough neither front or rear levers bought the lamp on. (It also showed up Pn69994-12b on the speedo display). Pulled the bulb, filaments looked intact and put it back in.
