I ran into the serial number (AJUXXXX) on a Model 19-5 . Photos attached. All serial numbers are not listed. You have to read between the lines. In July 1985 it ended with AHT which is close to end of AH series or close to AI, next would be AJ series, then in November they started with ALA. Your AJU is in between July and November 1985..Thanks everyone. You have all been very helpful. The S&W M&P 32 WCF / 32-20 series had their own number series 1-144xxx (1899-1940) thus a 6 digit Serial number 1111xx would be late 1920s. Your 32 WCF /32-20 Military & Police revolver is probably from the 19teens to early 1920s.
