Without power steering, I actually feel like *I'm* controlling where the car goes. It's really not a big deal when parking a car, either; the trick w/o power steering ...Having driven my '65 pontiac with bad power steering and my '66 dodge power wagon with factory manual steering, there is a difference. Way easier to steer the car woth intended manual steering than one with broken power steering. Ive moved enough modern cars that had power steering that didnt function to know its always better as it was designed.
