I believe that this can often happen. I think the instructions in most test say to discard after waiting the 10 minutes (or whatver time the test instructions recommend) as the chemical reactions continue after this time and can blur the result (possibly my making a postive line dissappear, or producting a false positive by creating an evaporation line).Unfortunately, evaporation lines do not disappear.
