Artifacts from Llano Texas. 05-10-2020, 09:05 PM. We found these today on the Llano riverbank in Llano county Texas about 3 miles west of town. It was in a area between rows of round river rock in a sandy depression. It has been several weeks sense any rain and months after any substantial water flow. Used to hunt small game such as frogs and rabbits, the projectile point is one of 150,000 artifacts greater than 14,000 years old found at the Gault archeological site. The site bears evidence of nearly continuous human occupation. Discovered in central Texas, this stone point with a broken tip was made at least 14,000 years ago. Originally Posted by Ringtail. When I'm at our place hunting in East Texas I always look for arrowheads on our small hill on the 34 acres we own. I mostly dig by hand or scrape the topsoil with my tractor bucket.
