GSG 1911 22. I just returned from shooting about 100 rounds thru my GSG 1911 22 with no issues. But after disassembling it and cleaning it, I started to reassemble it. When I feed the barrel back into the slide, it will not go all the way inside it. It stops about a quarter of the way in. I've tried putting oil etc. on it, but it will not go in.The 1911's design makes some functional sacrifices to achieve the desired appearance of a 1911. Disassembly and cleaning are more straightforward on the Taurus for this reason as well. The TX-22 is a more modern design which naturally results in a more refined, specialized firearm designed around the .22lr round.…
