Ticking/Knocking Noise. I notice a couple days a go a slight ticking noise coming from the bay (09 Impala LT 3.5L). Yesterday I checked the oil level on the dipstick and it was on the second circle from the bottom of the dipstick (I got a oil change 2 weeks ago from the dealership and notice the oil is dark), so I added 2 quarts of oil.I have Chevy Impala SS 06 the problem I'm having is there is no heat on the driver's side of the car. I do not have the clicking noise that everyone one else is complaining about and most of the videos out on this subject is on the passenger side.The clicking noise could be signs of either a pending alternator failure (bearing), or possibly the tensioner. Been a great little car, good on gas and comfortable. Wife went to leave this morning for work and came right back saying she heard a clicking noise when she pulled into the gas station. Hit the door unlock on key fob and nothing happened. Had to unlock door with the key. Put key in ignition and turned to start. Nothing happened and nothing electrical was working.
