Depends what your comparing.. the M9A1 vs 92a1 sights are identical, but the 92A1 has removable front sight. The only advantage i see is if you were set on getting night sights. I would take a beveled mag well and standard trigger guard over the removable sight, but that because i have no intention of changing the sight to begin with.Fundamentally, they are the same gun. The M9A3 improvements just trickled down into the "less military" 92X. You lose the threaded barrel, night sights, fancy ammo can case, and cool M9A3 rollmark. M9A3 is a sort of "halo product" for Beretta. As far as I know, all 92Xs are made in TN aside from the 92X Performance which is all Italian.
